Q. Do Basement Living Systems wall panels stand up to the abuse of daily living?
Yes they do. And then some! Basement Living Systems wall panels are covered in a revolutionary high-quality fabric that’s as durable as it is beautiful. The rich linen-like weave resists abrasion, scratching and tearing that would easily damage a painted or wallpapered wall. Plus, it cleans easily. Q. What about moisture, mold and mildew?
Many basements experience moisture problems. It's all part of being "below grade." What makes the Basement Living Systems wall system ideal for basements is that the wall panels are "breathable." That means moisture won’t be trapped behind or between the wall panels. This also protects basements from mold and mildew, which are responsible for that musty smell and can cause your family serious health problems. Drywall and wood framing contain organic substances that actually promote the growth of mold and mildew. Basement Living Systems wall panels contain no such substances. With Basement Living Systems, mold and mildew are not a problem. You should know, however, that Basement Living Systems wall panels do not fix serious moisture problems in your basement. Proper humidity and drainage management of your basement are necessary prior to installation. This is the case with most any basement remodel.
